The term BRICS are further valuate as Brazil Russia, India, China and South Africa. No new country has joined the BRICS since 2010 till date. But now in 2023 new 6 members are included in the BRICS these are Argentina, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia and Egypt.
China suggested that Pakistan should join BRICS to help itself. But India disagreed because it would not be good for India’s interests. India thinks it’s not a good idea for Pakistan to join the group.
India didn’t want more countries to join BRICS unless they are democratic. India believes that if any country wants to be in BRICS, there should be rules and a clear plan for how they can join.
